Mavros kavos beach
The island of Rhodes has the ability to amaze visitors with its well-hidden havens in the south, as is the stunning beach of Mavros Kavos. Following the coastal road after Lindos going towards Kattavia, and driving with patience through a maze of non -asphalted roads and crossing the abandoned church of St. Mark (8 km after the junction of Lachania), the visitor will be confronted with a surprise. Dunes and cedars compose a tropical scene altogether. The beach is closed with shallow, crystal clear waters. Nearby is St. George’s beach, which is similar. The beach is ideal for those who love tranquility, swimming, fishing and free camping. It is one of the most scenic beaches of South Rhodes. It emerged as one of the top hidden corners of the island in 2013.
