Ixia beach description
On the western side of Rhodes, stretches the Ixia beach, which is very close to the centre of Rhodes, about four km southwest. It is a very long beach with white sand alternating with pebbles and turquoise waters. The strong wind makes the area ideal for windsurfing. Near the beach there are several schools ready to rent the necessary equipment and to guide interested lovers of water sports. Opposite the beach there are luxury hotels as well as shops, kiosks, supermarkets and restaurants.
