Palace of Grand Masters
Once in Rhodes, do not fail to visit the impressive Palace of the Grand Master. Its imposing size prevails over the Medieval Town of Rhodes, magnetizing all eyes from whichever angle one looks at it. The Palace of the Grand Master or of the Knights or the Castle is situated NW of the castle, at the end of the Knights’ Street, which constitutes the most important road in the Medieval Town as well as the most well restored medieval pebbled road in Europe covering a length of 200 metres. At times the Palace hosts exhibitions and significant cultural events. It is only a few minutes from the new town, surrounded by souvenir shops, restaurants, coffee shops and it is right at the back of the “clock” of the medieval town.
